Use Android’s always-on VPN and kill switch, connect automatically when Teal opens, block trackers and malware, and choose which apps use the VPN.

What makes Teal VPN a good VPN for Android?
Encryption
Everything between your phone and our server is encrypted. On café, hotel or airport Wi-Fi, the network sees only an encrypted stream.
You’re protectedEvery app on your phone
Your IP, hidden
Websites see a Teal VPN server’s address instead of yours. Pick any location in one tap.

(1) Proton VPN’s pricing page, 18 October 2026: €83.76 for the first 24 months, then €83.88 every 12 months. NordVPN, ExpressVPN and Surfshark advertise a discounted price for the first term; their regular price applies after it. Teal Pro is $36 every year. (2) As published by the companies themselves. (3) Teal VPN takes its routes for networks that block VPNs on every connection, without a setting; the four others offer it as a mode to switch on (Stealth, obfuscated servers, NoBorders), and their apps are blocked in several countries. Getting started
Three steps. Then you are on your way.
- 01
Install from Google Play
Free on Google Play for Android 8.0 and later.
- 02
Sign in
Google or email. Your Free plan is ready at once, with no payment details.
- 03
Allow the VPN
Android asks you to approve the VPN connection once. After that, one tap connects.
Finish any Wi-Fi sign-in page
Hotel, airport, and café Wi-Fi often need you to accept terms in a browser first.
Turn off other VPN apps
Android allows one VPN at a time. Check Settings › Network › VPN and switch other apps off.
Compare Wi-Fi with mobile data
If one works and the other does not, that network filters VPN traffic. Teal tries another route by itself.
Check today’s allowance
On Teal Free, the home screen shows how much of your 500 MB you have used today.
Questions
Good to know
Is there a free VPN for Android without a subscription?
Yes. Teal Free needs no subscription and no payment details: 500 MB of data every day, the Lithuania location, and up to 2 devices. Teal Pro is optional.
Which Android versions does Teal support?
Teal supports Android 8.0 and later on phones and tablets.
Does Teal VPN show ads?
No. Teal does not show ads, on the Free plan or on Pro.
Will Teal work on networks that block VPNs?
Teal uses traffic obfuscation to make VPN traffic harder to identify and block, and can try another route when one is blocked. Results depend on the network; no VPN can promise to connect everywhere.
Can I install Teal without Google Play?
Yes. Use Download APK on this page: the app from our official website, for phones without Google Play. It updates itself, and Teal Pro is bought on account.tealvpn.com by card or crypto.
Can I use the same account on my other devices?
Yes. Your plan belongs to your account. Sign in with the same account on Android, Android TV, Chromebook, Windows, Mac and Linux. Teal VPN for iPhone and iPad is in testing and not on the App Store yet.
